Weekend

My weekend was okay I guess. On Friday i went to school for a while, and also helped Ms Welton in till 3:00pm. After that I went home and got ready for a yard sale my dad was doing. So we got finished getting ready at about 8:00pm, and we were all starving, so we went to Arbys and it was amazing. On Saturday I got up at 6:00 am to get ready to sell stuff at the yard sale. After a few hours we finally sold something. It went on like that in till 6:00pm. So we decided to close down for the night, and went inside to watch TV. Sunday we didn't do much really, the yard sale was still going on but nobody came into we were about to close down. After we closed down we went to a costume store to try and find a coconut bra and a grass skirt, but we didn't find any.

Who I am!!!!

My name is Glenn Young, I'm 18 years old. I live in Mesa, Arizona, I have one brother and he's older then me, but I'm taller then him. I live with my  grandma, so I can help her out around the house. I like to play sports with friends. My favorite sport's to play are football and basketball. I love to listen to music and play video games. 


Favorite Music:

To be honest I like alot of music, but I'm only going to talk about a couple. The first one is Hollywood Undead, they are a rap rock band. These guys are awesome, at least i think so. My favorite songs are City, Everywhere I go, and Christmas in Hollywood. I would advise you if you don't like swearing or  obscene content not to listen to them. Even though their not the cleanest band, they are still amazing.

Favorite Sports Team:

I like the Arizona Cardinals because their my home team. You should always support your home team. The Cardinal are amazing even if people don't think so. They have there ups and downs but I still like them. They are very good, but they wouldn't be without Larry Fitzgerald.  They could be even better if they still had Kurt Warner, but like them anyways.

 Obama challenges the world: Time for Mideast Peace 

As you can tell from the tittle, Obama thinks its  time to end the Freud with the Mideast. Obama made Mideast peace the major priority at the U.N General Assembly. Obama say's "this time will be different", he is offering a now or never choice for the Mideast. For example stability and perpetual bloodshed. 

Assault That Shocked The Mascot World:

The man behind the Ohio University Bobcat who wrestled Ohio State's Brutus to the ground, says he tried out for the mascot job with the goal of tackling the Buckeye. After the game the school, took the mascot position away from the 19 year old. They took it away because they don't tolerate  this kind of behavior. After this situation he left Ohio and now attends Hocking College.

The Bobcat first went after Brutus as the OSU mascot led the Buckeyes onto the field for the game. Moments later, the Bobcat mascot climbed on the back of Ohio State's mascot and rode him to the ground. The two then tussled in the end zone while fans booed.

US: Inverted Philippine flag was `honest mistake'

The U.S. government said Sunday it made an "honest mistake" when it displayed an inverted Philippine flag — which wrongfully signified that 

the Southeast Asian nation was in a state of war — in a meeting hosted by President Barack Obama. I

t was not immediately clear who pointed out the mistake. A photograph of Aquino sitting beside Obama with the inverted flag behind them was displayed on a government website Sunday but its caption did not point out the error.

Change Of Music

The first type of Rock Music was Progressive Rock. This type of rock is a fusion of rock and another genre like Opera and classical. Progressive Rock band pushed "rock's technical  and  compositional " by going beyond the standards of rock. Progressive rock developed from the late 1960's psychedelic rock, as part of a wide-ranging tendency in rock music of this era to draw inspiration form ever more diverse influences. Progressive  rock bands sometimes used concept albums that made unified statements, usually telling an epic story or overarching theme. The term "Progressive Rock' was initially applied to the music of bands such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd, reaching its peak of popularity in the mid 70's.

Rock music in the 80's was absolutely crazy, for example look at the picture above!!! Punk Rock was developed between 1974 and 1976 in the United States and the United Kingdom.  Punk Rock had a 'do it your self attitude" ethic. Punk become a major cultural Phenomenon in the United Kingdom. The begging of the 80's, punk become faster and had more aggressive styles such as hardcore.

Today rock has changed since the 60's. Today rock music includes artist like Nickelback, Good Charlotte, and plenty more awesome bands. Today's rock music has changed the society teenagers into the rebels we are want to become. Rock music is even faster and more hardcore than people would have ever expected. Rock music taught people to take chances and to be dangerous, also reckless.
